jackie : Buy Shoes Free Cooking Oil

wow! such long time never come here already. We're very busy this few months especially this month, our phase1.1A is going to handover soon. Busy for 1and1/2 years, the result is going to be up. So excited!

We went for lunch yesterday, guess what i saw!! so fun! I and kelvin stood there and watch for few second. but we walked back and we decided to walk back and took it down.

It's nothing so special if you get any free gift when go for shopping. What if you see :

Wahahaha! What a fabulous marketing scheme! I guess I wouldn't appreciate if asked me to carry a big bottle of cooking oil when go shopping! what the..... I don't think I can see this from anywhere else other then in china!

2nd day Ice Skating

It's  2-1-2009, we couldn't stand ourselves to stay home anymore, it's going to explode soon!  Gotta find something to do! We did some ski-wear shopping yesterday, although it's too rush to arrange skiing trip, but we have our lake just opposite to where we're staying.  So, we forced ourselves to walk over to the other of the road no matter cold it was.  Gosh, we should honour ourselves a gold plated bravery award to go ice-skatting on a -20+'C day.  

This is our first time ice-skating on a lake, on a outdoor REAL lake.  It's harder than what i imagined and the ice is too000000000 rough  .... But it's only RMB10/hour. 

it's FUN!  We'll come again!

First day of the year

We have been separated with peppy for a week, she looked very upset about something.  Guess is her hair, coz it does look quite messy.  

Being a good parent, we decided to bring peppy to have a brnad new hair-cut to on the first day 2009.  Let her to have a New LOOK to from the starting of the year. Look at her, in her transport baggie! Only her head is showing out.. no wonder, coz its freezing outside! -28'C

Wow!  She looks happy now! Hurray!!!!

'08 year-end BBQ in 大尾篤

老豆答應左我成廿幾年話带我去BBQ, 我等到而家最終都係細佬係佢day-off個日organise左個family BBQ. 如果唔係都唔知仲要等到幾時潻! 

我地仲带左 Sunny 仔出嚟潻, 呢次都係Sunny仔同珊珊既第一次BBQ咋喎.

哝, 老豆睇來好開心喎, 仲係咁燒 pork chop 潻.... 而媽咪就係咁坐係度等食, 真係爽呀!

我班死檔of course 唔會 miss out 呢D咁好玩既機會啦 ...

Mike仲特登唔陪家姐带左阿甘嚟tim....佢話阿甘一定會好開心喎. 真係踢老婆啊!

Eat roadside food on Boxing day

We din arrange any appointmnet this time round, coz we wanna relax and took our sweet time to wall-walk and did some 无聊 things!

Everybody was unpacking their christmas present on boxing day, well, me and hunny went to exploring roadside food in Hong Kong most busy street - Mongkok. 

At first my lovely brother suggested us to have dinner @ the most famous 明苑煲仔飯.

However, we decided not to hv normal dinner.  Our 2008 diet are very regulated, this was the 1st time me & my hunny ju ju NEVER had a proper in 2008!  First, we my hunny ju had juicy grilled cutterfish, I, myself had a spicy fishball, then we went to 许留山 to have dessert.

Jackie : 2008 Christmas Day

Woke up @ 12:30pm, we went to one very authentic Hong Kong Cafe for lunch in Yuen Long.  

Nowadays, you can only find this kind of cafe in countryside area, people who come to this cafe can only drive here, there is no public transport to reach here.  

After a nice authentic lunch @ 元朗茶餐廳, Marco brought us to the Wetland in 米埔, there was certain area not allowed to go in due to bird flu.  So, we change our route to Gold Coast, the best place for photo taking.  My last time visit Gold Coast was 10 years ago already.  It is still as nice as before, nothing much has been changed.

Marco still wanted to fill up our schedule to go somewhere else for sightseeing then go for Thai Christmas dinner, it was too good for us, but too tiring.  My Hunny Ju and I wanted to have  a easy and relax trip this time, we didn't want to have any expensive food, we finally went for a absolute delicious roadside local food 大排檔, this was the best arrangement for my hunny ju.  This even better for us !!! 

We love 大排檔 food!

MERRY 2008 CHRISTMAS!!!

Christmas Eve, get together with friends after yearsssssss to cook Christmas dinner @ best friend Mandy's place and exchange Christmas present at mid-night (12/25).

In a short and busy afternoon, before meeting Marco to buy our food & gifts for our Christmas dinner, my hunny ju ju still can take advantage to buy a ultimate offered DKNY leather jacket while shopping things for our christmas party. So smart! Never wasted our trip to hk. wohoo......

Shopping for food and gifts for our Christmas gift exchange party in TST CitySuper, haha, after that walk all the way to HungHom Station to pick up the car. Gosh, it took us 45 mins to walk there...



Huh, I was the 'Chef of the Christmas Eve Dinner', the whole dinner was done by ME.
Even Marco also commented "delicious" the day after! Wahahahahaha!!!

Eh but it was fantastic okie!!!

While I was being the good chef, my "friends" already started the Super King Oyster ...
You can tell how good is the Super Oyster from Mandy's face ... wahahahhahaha ....

That was the most expensive dish of the dinner!

Jackie : Best Friend's Wedding

Gosh, i can't imagine they finally reached terminal of 13-year-Marathron.  They finally feel tired to keep running in the maze.  Seriously i didn't suprised to be their MC tho, although he told me that the reason of choosing me to be their MC was because nobody wanna take this shit job, however, i know, nobody can do better then me.  It was hard, no script, no preparation, no planning,

e to see my partner MC until on the actual day.  But no choise, I din nevrous, and it was great!

I didn't really prepare much until the night before their wedding, i knew i didn't need to.  In fact, i didn't even need script, The script was all in my mind, I could throw anything out for both of them, any topic any time.  Too hard for me to write ever

ything down, we're too close!!!!!

I prepared the script write-up until 5am coz of i didn't know Tim (my partner Amcee, Mike's friend).  That day, i only slept one hour, slept at 5:30am and woke up at 6:30am, Mike and the brothers had already reached downstairs the apartment when i reached there.  I was late but I didn't feel guilty coz I knew I need not to when somebody didn't do best for his own big day.  The only thing I had in mind was 'do my best today on everything that i can!  Must suprise my best 

friend, let her a memorable wedding' and i think i did.  I satisfied on my performance and the wedding was fabulous!!!!  

I didn't even do so much for my own wedding...........

followed up a small little details until the end of the day, 'Mandy', OUR BEST friend, I would have already wasted all of my time and effort on the planning for the whole show 

without her support.  Thanks Man!  Thanks for supporting me!  Thanks for always on my side no matter what.  Of course, thanks for kicking the shit ass out of my face on that night!  Thanks for bringing up the atmosphere!  Thanks for being my best of the best friend all along!  Although you were not sisters or mc, but you're beside me when i wrote my script, you're next to me when i was rehearsing at the back of the stage, you're there when i felt nervous.  Thanks for everything that you did for all of us.

12/5 Hainan Sanya Trip

GoD@!@  an extreme climate change in 6 hours!  From -15'C change to +23'C ... My hunny ju ju take off all his inner wear straight away when we touch down ...

We went to this "真正海南特色" restaurant to try the real Hananese food!  Real Hananese Chicken "文昌雞"!   haha... but not as nice as the chicken rice that we eat in Singapore, i still prefer hawker's boneless hainanese chicken.

Lots of ppl joining for our trip this time round, got Grandma, aunty siew hoon, eunice, janice, 丁叔叔&丁阿姨, and 涛叔叔&小惠阿姨.

Second day, we went to see the "Floating Guanyin" 出海观音that aunty they all see from the plane.

kelvin : Winter Works Preparation

Flash, Tuesday came and gone. The weather's still hovering around +4 to +8°C, with the lowest about -8°C at night, so its still considered "warm" for this part of time. Heard from the forecast that on Thursday, the cold front will arrive and temperature will again drop by an additional 10°C.

About 2+pm this afternoon, did a quick site inspection with Dad and our construction team, in preparation for tomorrow morning's progress meeting. Quite a lot of work ahead for '09 April and without some intense planning, it quite an arduous task ahead.

Oh, and previously we tried some dressing up for Peppy (honey bee, rock star, fake Burberry) as Jackie was afraid the weather here will be too cold for her. It was quite funny after putting up the dresses, as she basically just "froze" on spot, openly irritated by whatever is on her! I guess she prefer her own natural fur skin than clothes.

kelvin : Monday I'm-Not-Feeling-The-Blues!

Seems like the "I'm running on adrenaline!" campaign is working. Didn't felt lethargic this morning, snoozed twice before jumping out of bed and into the bathroom. Feels real good! Today wasn't much of an exciting day, off to work as usual, had a couple of meetings and did a little planning work for winter construction. Other than that, had my first session of gym after 1 month of stoppage (everything was pretty much saggy) so it was kinda tough today.

Read this James Reynold's blog (he's a BBC correspondent in Beijing) when I'd got home and his articles on China, its developments and policies are actually quite interesting. Check it out if you would want to understand more about the land I'm currently in.

Oh, and Jackie had a bad stomache this morning!

Jackie : My hunny Ju first time to ask me to take sticker photo

After a longggggggggggg battle, I finally had 100% satisfaction today because I woke up @ 1:00pm.... thanks god! Dear, I never had so much sleeping for how many months already?? I also lost count !

After our lunch, suprisingly hunny ju ju asked me to take sticker photo, he usually dun like to this kind of thing, dunno wut happen to him today, but i was so happy. So, of course i took this very good chance to take 4 funny sticker photo with him.

The sticker photo qualtiy are not bad, you still can choose to laminate it with different pattern of lamination. The after laminated effect are perfect and with little shinny pattern.





And there was one more thing had made me feeling suprise, Peppy was so daring when she ran out of our house and jumped into the lift. She didn't dare to walk into shadow, but today she did it. She was so excited when Liu Jie called her to go down, she waited @ the front door ... aiyo, cannot stand this little doggie. Nowadays, she go down for walking everyday... we're so happy that we have Liu Jie to take care of her and to bring her down for walk walk when we go for work or not in shenyang.

kelvin : A good week of good weather ahead. I'm enjoying it while I can..

Well, as you would have noticed (else, welcome first-timer visitor, where have you been?!), I'd changed the layout and outlook of the site, the previous one was *sweet* but I'm getting kinda cross-eyed since everything is squashed together within 400 (?) pixels of text space. (From my 1200+ resolution, that kinda sucks!) So I basically took everything (except the contents, of course!) and trashed them happily into the bin. At least now everything looks squeaky clean, just like CNY is around the corner. :)

By the way, it's been more than 1 year since I'd been using the iPhone, and last night, I fell in love with it all over again. Yes. Learnt and "jailbroken" its firmware to version 2.1! It was quite easy to upgrade iPhones "illegally" (as in not through AT&T networks) nowadays, with hackers really understanding 'user experience', and this was achieved through a very well-designed program, QuickPwn, whereby most of the steps are Next, Press This, Next, Release That, Next, Done. Real slick.. So now, I'm running the near-latest (yes, just learnt that 2.2 is out but no big fuss really) software on my 2G iPhone, with App Store. Cool.

Actually what truly made me move my lazy ass to go through all these troubles, is because I'd read about Google's newest mobile application, Google Mobile App, is out on the App Store. What it actually does is that it allows users to voice-search and call contacts, which sounds pretty nifty to me! (Though I'd read about it having trouble deciphering British accents, but then again, most of us don't understand what they're talking about most of the time anyway) So, after all the troubles, I created an iTunes account, login and then realised that I can't access into U.S. App Store (the only Store where the Google Mobile App is currently available) since I don't own a U.S.-issued credit card, which is required during account registration. Damn. So in the end, I can only happily satisfy myself downloading freebies off the China Store. But still, its all cool and now Jackie looks like she's ditching her Nokie E71 to switch back to the "Pod Side". :)

P.S. : Just caught the movie "Connected (2008) 保持通话", featuring 古天乐 and 张家辉. To sum it up, this would probably be the best HK thriller this year for me. So catch it!!
